Privacy Policy
1. About FocusKid
FocusKid is a daily routine and task management app designed for children aged 5-14, with a focus on supporting children with ADHD, autism, and executive function challenges. The app helps children build healthy daily habits through task checklists, morning, afternoon, and evening routines, focus mode, mood check-ins, and positive reinforcement features.
FocusKid includes a PIN-protected parent mode that allows parents and guardians to manage tasks, log behaviour, view weekly reports, and configure the app privately, separate from the child-facing interface.
2. Information We Collect
FocusKid stores the following information exclusively on your device. This data is entered by the parent or guardian and never transmitted to Illiyin Designs or any external server, except where explicitly stated in Section 4.
Stored locally on your device
- Child's first name and age, used for personalised greetings and the in-app experience
- A 4-digit parent PIN, used only to protect parent mode
- Task names, time-of-day assignments, emoji, and optional task photos
- Child avatar selection
- Daily behaviour logs, including time-of-day mood entries and optional parent notes
- Morning mood check-ins recorded by the child
- Star counts and daily completion streaks
- Real-world reward goal descriptions and progress
- Daily task completion snapshots used for offline pattern analysis
- App settings such as sounds, haptics, reminders, theme, and focus mode
- Pro subscription entitlement status stored encrypted using Android Keystore via flutter_secure_storage
We do not collect
- Device identifiers, except as processed by RevenueCat as described in Section 4
- Location data
- Usage analytics or behavioural data sent to any server
- Crash reports or diagnostic data
- Advertising identifiers
- Biometric data
3. Children's Privacy
FocusKid is designed for use by children under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and applicable international children's privacy laws.
The app does not collect personal information from children through any server-side system. All data entered into the app, including mood check-ins recorded by the child, remains solely on the device. No child data is transmitted to Illiyin Designs or any third party.
The only third-party service used, RevenueCat, is accessed solely when a parent or guardian initiates a subscription purchase and does not interact with child-facing features.
4. Third-Party Services
FocusKid uses one third-party service: RevenueCat for subscription management.
When a parent or guardian purchases or restores a FocusKid Pro subscription, RevenueCat processes the transaction. RevenueCat may collect transaction data, purchase history, and device identifiers as necessary to validate and manage your subscription. This data is handled in accordance with RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Subscription payments are processed by Google Play. FocusKid does not directly handle or store payment card details. Google Play's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.
FocusKid does not contain advertisements. It does not integrate with analytics platforms, advertising networks, or any other third-party SDKs beyond those listed above.
5. Notifications
FocusKid may send local reminder notifications if the parent or guardian enables this feature in settings. These notifications are scheduled entirely on the device using Android's local notification system. No notification data is transmitted to any external server.
Notifications can be disabled at any time in the app settings or via the device's system notification settings.
6. Data Storage and Security
All app data is stored locally on your device using the following mechanisms:
- Hive local database for tasks, child profiles, behaviour logs, and reward goals
- SharedPreferences for app settings and flags
- Android Keystore through flutter_secure_storage for encrypted Pro subscription entitlement data
Illiyin Designs has no access to any data stored in the app. If the app is uninstalled, all locally stored data is permanently deleted from the device.
Task photos are saved to the app's private documents directory on the device and are deleted automatically when the associated task is deleted.
Weekly report PDFs are generated locally and shared via your device's native share sheet. PDFs are not uploaded to any server by FocusKid.
7. Parent and Guardian Rights
As a parent or guardian, you have full control over all data stored in FocusKid. You can:
- Edit or delete child profiles, names, ages, and PINs at any time in settings
- Delete individual tasks, photos, and behaviour logs at any time
- Delete all data permanently by uninstalling FocusKid from the device
- Manage or cancel your Pro subscription at any time via Google Play Subscriptions
Since all personal data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to Illiyin Designs, there is no account to delete and no personal data held by us to request removal of.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage parents and guardians to review this page periodically.
Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
